Modi is not Inclusive

This election season we keep hearing how inclusive is UPA government. This is supported by influential opinion makers. We heard how UPA government has initiated food security bill and rural employment guarantee bill. These bills are expected to remove hunger and bring employment to rural unemployed. Very well. Many opponents have criticised such bill. They have argued instead of spoon feeding populace, government must help people stand on their feet. Government must create infrastructure that would help people decide for themselves. People have criticised that government has neglected infrastructure development and revenue generation. On the face of absence of income, schemes like food security and employment guarantee bills exert enormous burden on exchequer.

This time Narendra Modi of BJP has expressed his candidature for the post of prime minister of India. Day in and day out we also hear argument of UPA and partners, supported by top opinion makers, how Modi is bad for India. To the extent, Prof. Amartya Sen is returning to India to caste his vote. He did not vote in last two elections. A group of influential opinion makers have written open letter decrying Modi becoming a prime minister. A typical argument being India needs inclusive leader and inclusive growth.

I was surprised our eminent people are not greatly concerned about lack of sanitation, lack of education, lack of infrastructure, lack of hygiene, lack of development and above all pervasive high level corruption. Government ministers, strategists and opinion makers are glossing over inadequacies of two successive governments while concentrating on inclusive growth.

Some said Modi is not inclusive enought for India. He is a fascist. Modi decides on his own without consulting others. Modi does not have big heart for poor and under privileged.  Modi does not support inclusive growth. I understood it is the big heart and inclusiveness of UPAII that allowed 2G scam to happen. As an example of inclusive growth not only north but south Indians were also allowed to get benefit of loot. Our inclusive prime minister did not say a thing. So that government does not fail in her inclusiveness for Western Indians,  CWG scam was engineered so that North and West can show solidarity. And they did so commendably. Shoddy flyovers, delayed makeover of Delhi all bear testimony to great joint effort in scaming taxpayers. Just to ensure West Indians are compensated adequately, Adarsh society scam, Irrigation scam were allowed to happen in Maharasthra. Because rail minister did show proclivity towards inclusive growth in his entrepreneurship, he tried to hog everything, he lost his job. I guess other states are fast learning the tricks. Fascist Modify wants to stop such inclusive growth.  Modi said famously, “I will not eat, I shall not allow others to eat”. What a blasphemy. The butcher must be stopped in his tracks.
