I want to be a professional artist dad,” Titu announced in the breakfast table. “Son we agreed to you joining an art school,” his father broke the silence and commented, “we thought your fad will pass; now you want to become a full time artist! are you out of your mind?

Dad I draw well, my professors tell me,” Titu insisted, “I shall earn by selling my creations.”

Who will buy your drawings, son?” asked dad, “life outside art school is not as smooth, when you have to earn a living.”

I don’t know dad, I think I have to create my client base by showing my creations in different book fairs and art meetings.”

That will cost money, son, where is the money going to come from?

I shall work on the side for some firms. Whatever money I get, I shall spend on expanding my business, with some help from you.”

Dad agreed, albeit, grudgingly. He was surprised to see the doodle of a donkey with a flower in its mouth against bright background – his son’s first creation.

Strange are the ways of artists!” he commented, “someone booked it by paying money in advance!”
