Disappointed #FridayFictioneer

He saw the bus, body painted in white with a thick red line in the middle, on his way to school.

Can I also travel by bus, dad?

Walking is good for health, son,” father hid his inability to stretch his tight budget any further.

He suppressed his disappointment for not been able to explore unseen part of town on the way home.

Today, he brought his son to school.

He was disappointed the second time. The bus was no longer in service. Most kids were more interested in their computer games than exploring distant part of the town.

  1. The father should persevere in taking his son for walks and not feel bad about his son not getting to ride because of money constraints. It will keep his son from in front of a device and they’ll have shared memories they can recall later on. Hopefully, the son will realize someday that he had a good father. Nicely written, Abhijit!

    1. Thank you for reading. Yes, intent of the story was to capture the disappointment of the father. Second time he could not avail the bus.
